About Jonathan
Jonathan Vandiveer has been an active photographer since he was given his first camera at the age of eight. His first paid gig was only a few years later at 14. With encouragement from his high school art teacher he went on to study photojournalism at the University of Miami, interning at the prestigious Miami Herald.
While in school he found his talent excel in fashion and portrait photography working in the budding fashion industry of South Beach. After graduation he moved back to the New York City area where he worked steadily as a photographer and continued his training as a freelance assistant to some of the worlds best fashion and celebrity photographers. Some of them include: Mark Seliger, Albert Watson and EJ Camp among nearly a hundred others.
While working in New York Jonathan's friend and fellow photographer Tom Hooper cast him in his upcoming feature film. Throwing himself into training with Terry Schreiber and others, he quickly fell in love with the craft and decided to make a career of it. A few years later it was time to make the move to Los Angeles. Combining his photography and acting skills into his business as a headshot photographer was the next natural step.
He continues to work as an actor (using a different stage name) and his experience has only made his headshot photography more effective. He understands how actors need to approach the aspect of marketing themselves and employs that in his work as a photographer.
His headshot work is always getting rave reviews, check out the testimonial page to hear what people are saying.
